Match Notes - (10/30/99):

As everyone knows this match was for the whole enchilada (been in Texas too long maybe?). We met Y2K a few times in the past including once in regular LIL action. To be honest they have always been a solid clan but not the force they are now. Our regular LIL season match was a tough win so we knew we had better be ready for the same in the finals.

Server setup was pretty easy.. we opted to just go with all default settings. We used our Frag Shack private port for our maps and Y2K used their Anarchy private port for their home base. Some of the Y2K guys had a bumpy ping ride. I had the chance to watch Pnot and Tripod pre-game warm-up and witnessed short ping spikes. You can see what I mean in the above screen shots.. Tripod in the third map shows 60 ping while in the second map shows 397. Tripod put on a real show anyway posting strong numbers in the 2nd and 3rd maps. Pnot elected to bow out at about the 5 minute mark in the first map leaving the Y2K squad 1 man short.

First Map - The Frag Pipe: It's no small secret that this is one of our favorite maps. As I stated above the Y2K squad was one man short after about 5 minutes of play. T2K quickly took control of the map controlling key areas never letting up on Y2K. All T2K posted high numbers lead by Riva's 53 kills and 1 death..sheez.

Second Map - The Warehouse: This is starting to be a real strong map for us. After lessons learned from earlier matches we've started to form some synergy here and work things out. Y2K's Tripod came in to replace Pnot to complete the 4 man Y2K squad. Methane lead the T2K assault followed closely by Riva. ChewiE rounded out the third spot with a strong showing. Fallen lead the Y2K squad with 39 kills. Riva once again lead the efficiency rating with an 86%... nice work jr.

Third Map - The Frag Pipe: This time around we headed to Y2K's server. PIngs were not a lot different than they were on the T2K server. Tripod again filled in for Pnot. This time around it was not as easy to control the map. Y2K has done some work on this map and it showed. Tripod put up a real battle for control. In the end T2K with a good showing from all players took the map for the second time winning by almost 50 frags. Unclewad lead our the team with 41 frags closely followed by Takedown and the rest of the squad.

Final Notes: We really enjoyed our matches in the LIL's first season. After getting edged out by SoH and beat to a pulp by C4 at the lan we came back with a vengeance to win the LIL in the playoffs. Our total score in the playoffs was T2K - 759, C4 & Y2K - 422. Great work guys!

Special thanks to Hawaii from Y2K for putting together the LIL and handling lets face it.. about 99% of the work! All of T2K appreciates the effort you have put into this. We look forward to the next season.
